Things Change

Back in the day when I was wronged
I was not one to stick around
Once it’s over, it is over
I was no longer bothered
No need to find a resolution
I was not seeking a solution
I just let go and let it be
I took back all power they had over me
Let’s part ways, I’ll forgive
But I must go on and live
A life that’s best for me and mine
