A CHRISTMAS POEM
The Gift
Bestowed through the Christ, by Christ for us
The night was silent
The skies were brilliant
The world at large lay sleeping, not expecting
The arrival of our Savior, High Priest, and King
His birth announcement was full of splendor
By a star in the East and a heavenly choir
Yet His abode was a humble manger
Not fit for a King, more that of a beggar
Think of this, think deeply if you must
Think of all He gave up, just for us
His throne, His glory, His royalty
So that we can have life more abundantly
The greatest gift that you can give
Is the message of salvation so another may live
This redeemed life the Savior bought
When He went to Calvary and poured out His blood
Remember Christ during Christmas
