AN OPEN LETTER
Thank You, Medium
For providing me an outlet to be heard and for your support
It’s January 1st, 2022 is upon us. I joined Medium in July 2021. I wrote and published for the first time in my life. I read and for the first time, exchanged chats with writers who I admire and who inspired me. For the first time, many people I did not know read my poems and other thoughts I committed to paper. Last year, 2021, was a year of many first, some happy, some sad, but I will focus only on the happy.
For the happy memories and first-time events, I want to say thank you. I thank God for every occasion and opportunity that I got to experience something for the first time. For the people that He brought across my path to share a particular experience with me. I thank Him for the joy, laughter, love, and health He blessed me with during 2021. I am grateful for the fact that I did not experience any more personal losses. I am so blessed for crossing paths with people that I have not seen for years because of COVID-19. Most of all I am grateful, yes, even thankful that those I met here on Medium are still standing. I thank God for your life and your health and my prayer is that 2022 will be the year in which you soar on eagle’s wings.
